The SMARTCHIP System
SMARTCHIP provides a stand alone system and fast low cost option for the repair of stone chips, scratches, and minor paint damage.
The SMARTCHIP Paint Repair System combines unique technology with specialist training to provide a deeper fill, high shine, fast drying repair and refinish within minutes on ANY vehicle finish, including silvers and metallics.
Our 3 Step process works like this:
Step 1. Careful preparation ensures that the area requiring repair is free from contaminants to ensure the repair can be completed to the highest standard.
Step 2. Low pressure airbush application of colour matched paint into the damaged area ensures the chip or scratch is filled from the bottom up. These layers gradually build up to fill the chip or scratch until it matches the surrounding surface.
Step 3. Unique Formula F184, the secret behind the success of the system that really sets us apart from other systems, removes the overspray without damaging the existing paintwork. At the same time the gentle formulation also insures the colour match stays true and leaves a deep fill, high shine finish of the original paintwork.
The whole process is designed to save major time and cost, avoiding the need for bonnet/panel removal, body-shop re-spray and refitting.

Training
To ensure the effectiveness of our system our training program must be extensive. Practical training ensures new operators learn quickly and a colour mixing guide is included in the fully comprehensive technical manual supplied with the system. The Development
Following field trials and product testing, 22 tinters are known to be sufficient to match all vehicle manufacturers’ colours for fast, successful, deep fill paint chip repairs without the expense and hassle of a paint mixing scheme. The FORMULA F184® allows the operator to wipe the repair removing excess paint and over-spray and allows them to repeat the process as necessary. History has proven that new operators, even with NO previous experience or knowledge of paint are successfully and confidently preparing eye-matched colours within weeks.
It is important to remember that the SMARTCHIP Paint Repair Technology system has been refined over many years and the best way to achieve the best results is to always work within the system.
The SMARTCHIP® Paint Repair Technology System includes:

- To carry out repairs the operator also needs mixing pots, airbrush & compressed air, gun wash, degreaser, removing block, and paper wipes.

The Complete SMARTCHIP® System
PHASE 1. Cutting and Polishing:
A cut and polish is the best way to begin when restoring a vehicles paint to its original condition. Using a recognized vehicle polish and wax system SMARTCHIP trained operators can remove many other surface imperfections including swirl marks, scratches, severe oxidation and alkaline or acid rain etching.
PHASE 2. Stone Chip Repair:
The SMARTCHIP process is the backbone of the system and is what makes our system unique and special. It is a remarkable system that actually works like we say it does.
PHASE 3: Scratch Repair
Scratches are the most testing aspect of any system but SMARTCHIP can achieve great results even on heavy scratches using a 2 stage filling, drying and polishing system. Again it is the uniqueness of the Formula F184 that rapidly dries the paint to a high shine finish and makes this possible.
